Queries from a member prompted me to bring out the article about the Grimes landing lights from the bottom of the stack, make a few changes, and post it.

Since the article was first written, there have been several good strings on the site which discuss the lamps, how to work on them, where to go for repairs, and how the different models work, some with relays, some with just alternating switches, and so on.

There are circuit modifications to make them more useful and the revision includes a definition of the "average lab lifetime" of the bulbs.
