Oil Temp Sensor Blast Tube

Cessna found it necessary to blow cool inlet air on the oil temp sensor and oil screen housing in order to reduce the value of the indicated oil temperature. There have been many arguments for it and against the blast tube installation but it will not be argued here. The blast tube does what it was designed to do and it is called out in the parts manuals for the different 120/140/140A models.

This article suggests an alternative to the ultra-expensive made in Wichita part.
