Made a little more progress today removing the oxidation on the exterior sheet metal, did a walk around with my IA also and we figure six months to get everything completed. We ended up keeping the C-85 engine which is original to the aircraft, the prop is new with 10 hours on it. Wing fabric done in 2014 had no paperwork as IA died before completeing. My IA is finishing up the 337 this week.

Re: 1946 C-140 Project
Sounds like a great project !
Great to hear you decided to keep the original engine especially seeing all the
work done on the engine.
Looking Good !!
