Re: New wing fabric cost
Thank you! Don’t be afraid to use it. Many old timers using traditional coverings will usually not trust new ideas but let me tell you, it was easy and I am a total rookie. Cost was much better than most any other method and once installed you’re ready to fly! A quick field approval and a 337 and your legal!
UPDATE: If your A & P is available when you help or do the fabric install, it gives them a much greater level of confidence to get the stc done. Just let them have a piece of the fabric and if they can rip or tear it with his or her bare hands, you'll double their inspection fee! Life is too short. Go fly!
Definitely consider a new weight & balance as the Oratex is much lighter than the "traditional" coverings and could alter the CG.
