I have really appreciated the help I’ve received so far in the “Technical Discussion” part of the forum as I begin the restoration of my Cessna 140 and thought maybe I would create on of these threads to hold onto the process of getting it back flying again.

I am using my YouTube channel to document it but will be updating via photos and text here. The Channel is called “The Flying Mechanic” and my most recent video over installing Mags and running the fuel system can be found here: https://youtu.be/UJ8qpWgo8hs

Loving this little project plane and hopefully will be meeting up at Oshkosh next year!

I finally got the plane running! I had to ultimately replace the carb, mags, and install new engine mount bushings which was a nightmare of research to get it figured out because of the O-290 on my aircraft (STC paperwork verses original parts cats).

Going great so far! Loving this bird and got to fly another 140 the other day in anticipation of finishing mine up!

Second Annual done! I just wrapped up my first field approvals on the solid Grove Axle and doing the Aeroclassic 8.50's. I'll be sharing a video on my youtube channel on that process soon. Gone flying!
