Dear Fellow Aviators,
I âm writing in an attempt to find a C140 aircraft rental/school where I can fly with a CFI for a minimum of five hours to meet my Global Insurance Requirements. I'm told it must be in a Cessna 140 (Make & Model) as the aircraft I plan on insuring.
Please text or leave me a voice message if you know of an aircraft and CFI I can pay to obtain my required hours.
Thank You,
Dave Bean

Dave,
Have you looked at the list of instructors found on the Main Cessna 120-140 Website under the resources tab? It's an older list of instructors; however, it may provide you with an active instructor in the area of the state you live in (Texas per your area code?). Granted the list no doubt needs a good sweeping to update, but again it's a good starting point.

If your intention is to buy a 140, you might consider doing that first, then having a local, qualified instructor work with you to build the time in your own plane. That's what I did, way back when...

Hi Dave,
I don’t know where you’re located, but Red Sky Aviation in Livermore California KLVK has both a very nice Cessna 140 and an instructor (Pete Eltgroth) who has hundreds of hours in it and other tailwheel aircraft. There a lots of non-tower airports in the area where you can go for practice.
