2024 Sun and Fun

Sun And Fun is April 9-14th, as in the past the 120 140 Assoc. will be participating in the Type Club. Last year they moved the tent from across the vintage building to the south east intersection of Runway 5 and Taxi way "E." It will be there again this year. I was not able to make it there last year ,and I've heard there was some confusion on where we were located. I will not be there again this year ,but have several of our members to "Meet and Great" our members, and new members at the table. If there are any of you interested to sit, talk ,and great our members at the table let me know so I can get you registered. Also we have Aircraft parking near our table for show so I need to know that too.
We have our new store up on line so merchandise will not be there, and to renew a membership is also on line so no need to do that either.
David Lowe will be there this year as always so bring your technical questions to his attention. Or see if you can stump him with something odd or new ? chances are you got nothing he hasn't come across! Have Fun Sorry I'll Miss You Jeff

I would like to. Fly into S&F NEXT MONTH BUT MY PLANE DOES NOT HAVE THE ADsB gizmo. Will the tower or someone else run me off? It has bee about five years since I was there and it wasn’t required then. Is it possible and legal?

Did anyone go to SUN and FUN ? if so how was it and did you find the 120 140 type Table?

Yes, I was there, and helped man the International Cessna 120/140 Association table along with David Lowe, Steve Rose, and Bill Scott. We were glad to see a number of folks and friends stop by the type club tent just to say hello, or to ask David questions pertaining to maintaining their aircraft. Unfortunately the airport experienced some weather issues late Wednesday night from a fast moving storm front that passed through and destroyed the type tent. Fortunately, airshow officials had a new tent erected for the type clubs on Thursday.

Steve Rose took some photographs of folks and will forward them to our newsletter editor. Additionally, several nice looking 120's, 140's and a few 140A's were in attendance. On another note, several folks complained about Sun N Fun officials moving the type club tent from its previous position that was closer to the main event area. Now the location is further eastward away from most activity areas, and those in attendance agree that fewer people visit the type tent than was the case before when the tent was closer to the main area.

Thank You Mike, David, Steve, and Bill for your dedication to our assoc. Sounds like that storm was disruptive , our 1st S&F had the tornado go through what a devastating site. Sorry Cindy and I could not attend this year , with 7 grand kids it was a full schedule for us that week. Hope to see lots of members at Oshkosh and our 2024 Convention at C77 Poplar Grove Illinois.
