Re: iPad mounts
iPads mounted in the line of vision in these airplanes might have their place in congested high density environments where ADS-B IN is by popular demand replacing eyeballs for traffic separation, but even at my age I think my 70 year old eyeballs are a helluva lot better resource than some synthesized electronic device when flying a Cessna 120/140. An iPhone sitting on my thigh and occasionally in the palm of my hand is more than sufficient, including on flights beneath DEN class B and into northern Colorado airports. If there ever comes a time when I feel compelled to give myself the line of vision option, it will still be with an iPhone as opposed to letting an iPad hog precious space.
