I'm a relatively new member, (2 years), so I don't have a lot of room for opinion, but I haven't noticed a reduction of posts/pics in those 2 years. I look at the forum daily, although not always signed in.
I hope the plan for the forum isn't to migrate to Facebook only, a cloud or where ever things go now days. In fact, I didn't realize we had a parallel Facebook site. I assume there is a penalty for not going these routes for the masses, but I just won't go there. I would hate to lose access to the Association. I would gladly pay another $10-15 per year if it would help keep things as they are. We get a lot of bang for the buck!
I always resize my pics before posting and there doesn't seem to be a problem by doing that. The quality of the pics on the forum seems really good to me. And it has to be simple for me to be able to do it!

Re: Uploading Photos
I'm with Steve, I'm not a facebooker and never will be, so if this forum goes that way I guess that will be the end of my membership. It would be a real shame to see all the knowledge, expertise, help and advise I have been able to get being a member of this prestigious club.

I am not a member of the "board", but, it is my understanding that the Association does not have an official presence on Facebook. And, don't expect Zuckerberg to organize the next convention...

I don’t know what I don’t know in terms of what used to be on the old site. Is there a way to get a topic list in an excel file posted?6643 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 7:42 amFacebook is "free" because Zuckerberg can make more money off of your information and habits than the hardware and software needed to support the site. We have a lot of information from the old site, it's just not in a format we can post. I spent almost 3 weeks of my free time restoring this one thread. If anyone has a thread they'd like to see restored, post your request here.

Actually there is an official association Facebook group that Scott Ross created. I go to both FB and this board because they are both great resources.

Re: Uploading Photos
There are "several" Facebook "groups" that may appear a "legal" part of the International Cessna 120-140 Association...that maybe aren't(?). Searching, you'll find: "Cessna 120/140 Club", "Cessna 120/140 Association Facebook Group", "Cessna 120/140 Club Public Group", "International Cessna 120-140 Association on Facebook", etc. and etc.. There may well be others. One of them is the actual "official" Association established Facebook location, authorized by the BOD and set up by John von Linsowe, as I recall. Of course, there are also an additional few international groups with their own Facebook groups, sharing the love of 120s/140s. Some say "the more, the merrier" while some lament that this proliferation only serves to dilute easily accessed chat and needed/interesting/pertinent information. While I'm personally of the latter opinion, the ship sailed long ago, so it is what it is. Let's hang in and keep this (Official) website going well as long as "we" can. Mac

Re: Uploading Photos
So true about Facebook. But if anyone thinks they are living in an age where their personal information and manipulation are immune from BIG TECH and BIG BROTHER, they are kidding themselves. Just using the Internet and this website is surrender. Sad but true.

Cessna 120/140 Association Official Group. Apparently this is the official Facebook group name. Anybody know different?
