This is interesting because I'm 6'4 and legroom is usually more an issue than width for me. Before getting a 140 I tried on everything including a Luscombe, but to my surprise the 140 with its yoke out of the way of my knees fit like a glove. It's how I felt when I tried on a 1973 Volkswagen beetle in college which, tho small, fit me perfectly.
The Bearhawk patrol model year 2035
I'm trying to build has a tandem seating arrangement with a cockpit width of 32"... FWIW!

Went for an evening flight in my 140....still makes me smile with window open on a cool Texas evening....
If I’m going to fly on a trip fast and efficient, it’s my Cessna 195....no touching shoulders in that! 14 gph at 160mph true

Have you ever seen a Cessna 196?

Oh of course! At least two flying I know of.... love the power, but I would hate the fuel burn, and the cowling. But it goes!
