Replaced the engine mount rubber cones, all the hardware, cleaned the engine thoroughly, some of the scat ducting, baffles, cowl seals, etc. After a maintenance verification flight that was good, we did some cosmetic work. Cleaning and polishing for the new season. Lots of talking during this cleaning everything. In the discussion, we wondered who has owned their own C120/140 the longest. We have owned the 'Klunker" (my wife and kids name for it) since August 25 1980. Wondering who has owned one the longest?

We're STILL learning how to land!!!! About one out of five is acceptable, with one out of ten really good.

Dear Mac, keep cool, you are not alone...
We are, at least two still learning.

December 1997, so, watching other dates, my marriage with LV-NGL is really very young.

Talking about landings, I play against myself a nice game, that is: to count the very good landings in a row.
Before each flight, I fill manually a PAVE sheet, including items that are not specifically  mentioned, for instance: in which one of the 4 Regions of Carb Ice Risk will I fly?
I think that PAVE is a very nice tool to increase safety, mainly because it narrows the "distraction areas" we all have in our minds. Even in cases with 10.000+ hours. Not my case !
BTW, a good "distraction" paper below.

After securing 140, I filled my score for that landing.

Last figures: I did 12 in a row by the end of 2020, and in the 13th... boom, to the stratosphere !
I have 10 since now, and perhaps I will have 11 if the meteo is good for this weekend. Or not... who knows ?

Finally, for me the wheel landing is easier, the very good 3 pointer is very difficult for me. In the last series I did one 3P and was fabulous. I felt like a kid with one thousand bucks in a toy store.
