The Cessna 120-140 Association Forum

Our Illinois state rep has invited you to 0C8 Cushing Field , Newark Il. Saturday October 1st .
Cessna 120 140 pilots and Friends are welcome to join us for a day of aviating and hangar flying! Come and go as you please during the day Cookout at noon.
Cushing is a laid back old school 2800' grass north south strip in the farm fields of Illinois. 45nm south-west of Chicago. Bathroom facility's are on the field and we will be camping on the field starting Friday night if you come early? (Or stay late)
This is a VFR event only 122.7 com left traffic pattern @ 1440' MSL Power lines to north end of 36 at the road. There are multiple Ultra lights and a flight school active so use normal calls and be on the look.
There will be no rain date and Weather, so far looks good but stay tuned to FB's two sites and here if we call it .

Thanks to all that came to the Northern Illinois fly in. We had a great day 70 degrees , blue skies and little breeze so PERFECT. Food was hamburgers hot dogs potato salad chips and cookies. Four families spent three days there with campers and we had movies with a fire at night.
Thanks to our Illinois state rep. Mike Pastor for the planning of this. We had 20 some aircraft food for 80 that was pretty much gone by the end . Great times please contact your state rep. or your board members to see how we can help promote your local fly ins.
