We had a break in the dismal weather here in the Pacific Northwest, low 60's, calm winds and no rain so we are disoriented. Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens were in their snow covered glory on a flight to Packwood WA http://www.airnav.com/airport/55S for lunch. The dome in St Helen's volcano is starting to grow again and in the summer time you can see steam coming from it every now and then.
Another good day for flying...

There was a small fly-in at 0WA2 Curtis Field here in SW Washington today, found a rare gem in the prototype Luscombe Phantom, based amazingly near my home field I found. 145 Warner, it is as perfect as the day it left the factory. Only Phantom flying. Don Luscomb started his own company after working for the Monocoupe folks,it shows in the Phantom. 1934, 25 built.

Rare aircraft indeed! I've only seen one, and that was at Sun-N-Fun about 30 years ago.
