Grandkid can’t reach full extension on pedals and can’t really engage toe brakes properly when needed. Any recommendations for a descent cushion , or another solution , that would move kid forward and up to the desired sitting position for rudder and brake application.
Standard stock bench seat and back in 140.

Well..............I have a solution,,,,,,,,,but it's not cheap. You can install C-150 seats with an STC(several days of labor + the cost of the seats) That would move the seat far enough forward(My daughter who's about 'Five Foot nuthin' finds this an excellent fit) so that short legs can move peddles. Plus, you will have the leg room you always wished you'd had in the other seatredbud40 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2026 9:14 am Grandkid can’t reach full extension on pedals and can’t really engage toe brakes properly when needed. Don't want to spend the money, or go to that extreme?.........Probably some arrangement of cushions are your best bet. They did make rivet on peddle adapters to bring the peddles closer to the pilot, but that didn't extend up to the brakes, just the lower portion was moved aft by about 1.5 inches. I had a set, but have no idea where they are or what I did with them. I didn't need them so I took them off of an airplane my Dad purchased 30 years ago.
Those are the only solutions I'm aware of.

Re: Seat Extension for teens
New owner I'm working with has a complete set of seats/back that are designed for shorter folks. That said, you both need to be on the vertically challenged side. Nice upholstery, don't think he's going to need them, came with the plane as extras. I can take pics, PM me if interested. I'm 5' 8" and the set makes things too tight for me. The new owner is a little shorter and it's too much also.

I have looked around some. Anyone have 150 seats they have or know of that are available?
