I just finished talking to the catering manager at Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Missouri. That's our convention hotel for the annual fly-in and convention beginning September 3rd. Hannah and I are getting excited and I hope you are too! The officers and board of directors have put together a great program that offers plenty of airplane time plus some evening activities that will introduce our members to the entertainment side of Branson.

Watch this space for menus. The hotel is working up suggestions and I'll get them posted as soon as I can. And please respond to let me know your plans and if you are planning to attend.

I don’t know what’s more frustrating: trying to log in on the forum or make a car reservation. But I digress. . .so Enterprise is saying their airport office is closed on Tuesdays and I cannot pick up a car until Wed. I can check back later in month to see if they will be open. Is this right? And for what I am paying for a car for 3 days plus whatever convention costs are (I haven’t ventured to that section yet) it’s no wonder we don’t have more people at these conventions. Ok, I am going to try and calm down here but can someone check into Enterprise’s availability on Tuesday?

Plot thickens, in studying my car confirmation email Enterprise made reservation for Branson airport and when I call back the guy from India doesn’t show a Branson West airport. So I give up, I can’t be the first one to make a car reservation. Can someone clarify all this? This is too much work. Carole

I had the same issue with getting a car through enterprise trust me there clueless. BUT!!! call the 2 guys at the airport and they say they get cars though them so call there. I'll check more now and post later.

Getting ready and excited! As of right now 8/13 2:36 pm there are only 2 rooms left at the Chateau. Also you need to register for the 2 shows by 8/16 so we can get our count sent in to them. There almost always sold out so register now. Hope to see you there.
