If any of you are up in the northeast and interested, there's a few of us doing an overnight fly-in/campout at Parlin Field in NH (2B3) on Friday 9/6 into Friday 9/7. Working with the airport manager there to do a movie night on the Friday night (large outdoor screen) and we'll do breakfast and lunch on Saturday (pancakes/sausage, etc. then burgers/dogs, etc.). There are several campsites right on the airport and they have a couple of loaner bikes if anyone wants to run into town (about a mile) and there's a river running along the west boundary of the airport for swimming and fishing (likely need a NH license - will need to look into that).
Let me know if any of you think you can make it.

Don't you guys watch "North Woods Law?" Yes, you'd need a license. You can get a one day out-of-state license for $15. https://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/fishing/index.html
I might be able to swing by, but no overnight, and no plane...
There used to be a guy there with a nice 140, Edmonds, I think, also has a maintenance facility. (He used to be at Nashua.)
I just googled Parlin field and a picture of a 140 came up!

Decent restaurant on the field, too.

Restaurant is gone (at least it was last September when I was there). But great little airport otherwise.

Dang! So it is. Last time I was there was several years ago. It was better than average...

Small turnout (me in an Archer, a Maule, and an RV-7), but had a great time. The airport put on a movie night (Barnstorming - a good documentary) and made hot dogs and hamburgers for us on the Friday, then greeted us again Saturday morning and cooked us up a pancake breakfast. Great, supportive management at the airfield. Will look to do another one, hopefully much larger, in the spring.

Wow! I missed it. I guess I was expecting to see some updates here between the 19th and the actual event. Oh, well, maybe next time...
Glad you had a good time.
