Hi Folks,
What is the easiest way to replace the cup and spacer in a Scott 2000 tailwheel hub? I assume heat up the hub then tap out the old cup and spacer? Then, to reinstall, heat the hub (maybe cool the cup and spacer?) and drop them in? Any tricks to be aware of?
Thanks!

Pretty straightforward. You have the basic idea down. I have in the past taken the bearing races out and put them in without changing temps. (heating wheel etc)

Yes, if you use heat then use it sparingly. Too much heat will change the metallurgy of aluminum.
