Anyone have an extra pull starter cable with a knob and not a t handle sitting around?

Would an old mixture control work? I think I still have one in the hangar. Black knob similar to what you're showing. It was too short when I swapped out my carb.

You can buy a generic cable from Aircraft Spruce. If your casing is in good condition you can often just replace the core.
