Need help accessing the FAA Official Aircraft Record. I have an old cd from 2003 and want to see the current record. I've tried the FAA's My Access with out any luck. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Request Copies of Aircraft Records

This can now be done online for no charge.
First create a Login.Gov Account

Go to https://cares.faa.gov/home in your browser
Click on Sign on with Login.gov
Agree to terms of service
Click on Get Started
Click on Aircraft Services
Click on Search/Request Aircraft Records
Enter the N number (without the N)
This will bring up the information about the aircraft
Scroll down and choose
Registration History Shows complete history of ownership, address changes etc that the FAA has on file
Airworthiness Shows all of the 337's etc that the FAA has on file.

You can elect to download some or all the data onto your computer in PDF format.

Very interesting reading ... Most 120's and 140's have been wrecked, many just months after they were built.

A hard life.........no?

I worked with an older IA back in the early 1980's in Saginaw Michigan........his 120's first airframe log book entry......

........."Replaced both wings due to hitting fixed objects"..........


My personal airplane (been in the family since the 1960's) got destroyed in a wind storm.
Occasionally you'll find one without damage..

Yeah, I was too. Better, faster and cheaper. Can't beat that!
