Post by 8337 »

Hey Guys,

If I wanted to replace my generater (which apperantly is not working) with an alternator, what part or kit should I get? 1946 c140 with C-85.

Thanks

I chose the 60A Alternator Conversion STC SA800NE from Barnstormers Aviation. Attached is the POC information for the STC and kit (voltage regulator is the one part offered in the kit) from the former club website. I don't know if the STC and kit are still offered, but this is what I purchased in 2006. The documentation and parts lists for the STC are excellent with details about the piece parts and alternatives for circuit breakers and other items.
