Re: Axle bolts
99 and 44/100% chance you need MS20004-28 bolts. They are "high strength," stronger than AN4 bolts (not close tolerance). They require different (stronger) nuts, as well. The nuts called out in the parts catalog are no longer available and there is no direct successor. NAS1804-4 nuts are the same strength, but have 12 flats instead of 6. I generally stock both, but am out of stock on the bolts. I have only had about one inquiry a year lately, so I don't know if I am going to reorder them or not. I have to order 50 or more to get a decent price on them. I do have the nuts if you need them.

Re: Axle bolts
Thanks John. I am going to look at the existing bolts and may reuse them for now or install the new wheels and tires on the old axles. Then again I might just fly as is for now while the weather is nice and do it all at the annual.

Re: Axle bolts
I just went this same exercise. I rebuilt my cleveland brakes and found the axles had been installed with AN4 bolts about 50 years ago from the look of them. Due to my shims I needed some MS20004-28, -29, and -30. There is a guy on ebay giving away new MS20004-28 (12 for $12 w/ free shipping). Monroe Aerospace has -30, min purchase qty of 5 and about $4 each.

Re: Axle bolts
Thanks for the info David. Once I get it apart I will have to figure out what lengths I need.
