Well, for starters, the 72CK is 72" long and the 76AK-2 is 76-2 = 74" long. The "C" and "A" designate (different) blade designs. They're on different type certificates, too: the former on P-904 and the latter on 1P2. If you look up those two you may be able to discern other differences.

Since you have a copy of that STC in your logs, Bruce may have been involved in the initial installation. I'd try to contact him and see if he can shed any light on things.

Say, out of curiosity, what does your prop measure tip to tip? Have you actually verified the model?

Thanks John, I am going to try to reach Bruce tomorrow. I also talked to a VDER today who thought he could likely get this approved as a paperwork exercise with a modest fee. I sent him all of the information I had and he is going to review and discuss next steps.

Thanks!
