I just bought a long handled very soft brush and want to clean the tops of my fabric wings soon. What kind of soapy stuff should I use? Dove? Car wash stuff?
I will get a hose and rinse it well.

Re: Spring Cleaning
Don’t use Dove. It’s not recommended for painted finishes

I have used Woolite in the past. Problem is, I have white wings and they get gray stains from rain and it's tough to get it off...

I'm sure someone will probably mention the use of Dawn Detergent, and one does see oil soaked birds being cleaned with the product on the company's advertisements. No doubt that Dawn does clean well, but I'm told it will also remove any wax. Anyone have any issues or results with Dawn?

Re: Spring Cleaning
You might try "Wash Wax ALL" - I swear by this stuff. It does take a little effort to apply - about 10 minutes per wing. The results are great.
