I have a similar situation with the firewall on my 46-140. Cessna used some type of glue to attach the fiberglass
insulation to the firewall. I have tried MEK, naphtha, goo-gone, kerosene to not effect. IN addition there is some
corrosion that has eaten through the aluminum coating into the iron core of the firewall. As per this post I am
headed to Lowes for some of the citrus remover. Will report back on my progress.
