Hello All,
The C 140 Type Certificate Data Sheet requires this piece of interior equipment:
“
403. CAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual (optional nomenclature:
"Approved Operating Limitations") and pertinent revisions applicable to the particular model and serial
number.
“
I was previously under the impression that the 120/140 Operations Manual fulfilled this requirement, but the Ops Manual makes reference to “the CAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual”, so it can’t be it.
Where does one find said Manual?
Thanks, Steve S
Approved Flight Manual

Re: Approved Flight Manual
The original was a two page type written document that had specific data for each aircraft. Weight and balance, optional installed equipment. Hopefully it’s in your paperwork.

Re: Approved Flight Manual
It's Form ACA-309. It should be in your permanent aircraft records. If not, order the FAA CD for your plane. It should be in there. I'm attaching mine, so you can see what it looks like.
I'm guessing there is a large percentage of the fleet that is not carrying this document... Mine's not up to date: I have a C90 now.

Ray,
I believe you are correct. See attached Service Letter from the library that states CAA Form 309 is no longer needed in favor of what you posted.

Re: Approved Flight Manual
Is there one for a 140 with a Continental 90?

Re: Approved Flight Manual
Mine is for a C85 with a few things crossed out and the correct values penciled in.
