Cessna 140 brake master cylinder

I have a 1948 Cessna 140, N3669V,m s/n: 14985. Has Cleveland wheel and brake kit 199-46 installed. This master cylinder does not look like the Goodyear p/n: 9520298(0441009) in the Cessna 140 parts manual. This master cylinder is no longer available and no supercedures. I am not too keen about going to a salvage yard for a Goodyear master cylinder. My cylinders do not have a cap, but instead the bottom of the reservoirs are held to the cylinders with three studs/nuts and washers. A paper gasket seals the reservoir to the cylinder. I have also looked in the Cleveland catalog and cannot match mine with any of theirs or Gerdes master brake cylinders. I have spoken with Textron and Cleveland without success as to a long gone Service Letter or kit that had my style cylinder. Help. I have also heard a Cessna 150 brake can be substituted for the Cessna 140 Goodyear Master cylinder, but have not found any approved data supporting the conversion. I would appreciate any information you may have.
