Suggest you check with the "Stromberg Specialist" guru. R.E. "Bob" Kachergius A&P/IA @ 708-267-7111.

Looking for one of these. I spoke with Mr. Kachergius‘ son who told me he has none left and that his father has been in ill health for some time and doesn’t expect he’ll be making any more of these. I felt quite saddened to hear about his poor health. 😢

Is anyone aware of another source? Not a complex item to machine up however if someone is still making them or has one to sell I’d happily buy it.

Thx
Ron Curry

El Reno Airparts
or
Fresno Airparts?

Mac Forbes mentioned previously the excellent article by Neal Wright about the Stromberg Carburetor Mixture Control which is really worth reading in my opinion.
download/file.php?id=2861 Referenced download from Mac's post shows the dimensions per Neal Wright's article for making the Stromberg Mixture Control Details/Assembly and Lever Arm Extender that you're asking about.

I checked on the website for Fresno Airparts and didn't see the arm extender you are seeking. Not saying it isn't available, you could contact Bobby Crisp at Fresno, and inquire. https://www.fresnoairpartsco.com

D&G Supply is an excellent source for fuel system component repairs, my fellow moderator Victor gave me their contact info in Niles, Michigan. I don't know if they have the part you seek, but it would be worth contacting them. http://dgsupply.com/

I'm not sure if El Reno Airparts is still in business since I haven't seen their advertisements lately.

Hope the above helps, and I think the Neal Wright article is going to be your best bet.

I have a McFarland Vernier Mixture Control and the standard arm, and Mixture Control works just fine. I guess the point of the modified arm is to make it easier to adjust?

Yes, that was the idea. I've joked over the years that the Stromberg mixture control functions well over 30,000' :D . Actually, it really does work well as designed, even with the original push-pull cable. No doubt the vernier helps zero in. The arm extension enables even a bit more precision. In any final analysis I've personally found that being a flatlander who seldom flies above 2500' MSL it's just "there" and seldom touched...except to maybe "clear" a loaded up plug or two on run-up. As John C. has often observed in related discussions, the Stromberg is a very good all'round carb for our little C85's. Mac

Thanks. I’m aware of the Neil Wright article and yes I could make one but if I can just buy one it would save me the trouble. I’ll check with the contacts mentioned here.

Thanks!
