right side brake install

Post by sbmackie »

Is it possible to have brakes installed on the right side of a 120/140 that isn't so equipped, and if so, how easy/hard for a guy that can recognize a screwdriver 8 out of 10 times, but is willing to learn?

Thanks

Yes.

It depends on what is there now. There are carry-throughs for the brake pedals in the rudder bars. If you have them than it's pretty straight forward. If not, you need to remove the rudder control bars and replace them. You will also need to hunt down the required parts.

Either way, it will require a sign-off by an A&P, who will also be able to help you with those other 2 out of 10 identifications.

I hope you're a nimble, flexible guy. Working under the instrument panel is ........"Tight" and that's "playing nice".
