Hello,
Going down this wormhole. Airplane will be used for some dual. North GA airport, elevation 1500'. Not terribly hot in the summer, but DA 3500 feet, maybe?

So, my perception from reading about climb performance (this assuming constant prop and constant weight) is, in order of worst to best, C-85, C-90, C-85 stroker, 0200. i also understand none of them will leap off the runway, running homeward like ET.

True or false?

I don't think you'll find a noticeable difference between the last three on your list. It'll depend more on the prop you choose than anything else.

Ditto from above. Seems the C-90 swinging a long prop is the best. Any engine of the last three with a "climb" prop will give you the best performance that is available.

This is an old subject, there is a big difference between a c85 and an o-200, first off you can turn 2750 rpm with the center case studs going all the way through with nuts at the cylinder bases. I have owned both.
