stiffener for rudder skin?

Hello everyone, take a look at the attached pic of my rudder. You'll note several rows of rivets in the center of the rudder skin. I know from peering into the rudder interior that these rivets are used to attach L-shaped stringers to the skin. I had initially presumed that these stringers were part of the factory design, but after reviewing the Univair bill-of-materials for a new rudder, I don't find any mention of these stringers. I'm now thinking that these were added to my rudder as part of a previous repair. Can anyone comment on this? Were these part of the factory design?

No, but I've seen all sorts of "creative" solutions to distorted rudder skins.

Mine definitely does not have them and it’s a very original 1946 model.

Looks like a repair the trailing edge should be welds like the leading edge is.
