Flight Control Qs

Hi all,
Does anyone know the part number for the aileron push-pull tubes (was unable to find in the IPC)? Mine are both bent- but the airplane flies straight.
How much slop is typical on the yokes in ROLL? Both of mine have about an inch play.
Thanks in advance.
Nick

If memory serves, mine are also bent, the control forces required to bend those would be phenomenal, and I suspect other things may be broken first, so I think they come bent for clearance.
Now I have little to no experience with 140’s in general, but suspect that depending on where you are measuring that 1” is also normal. depends on where the slop is coming from.
My advice is do nothing or actually have nothing done unless an experienced A&P as a min says so and does it.
I assume your not rated and cleaning plugs or changing tires is one thing, but flight controls are not something in my opinion that should be touched by someone not trained to do so.

The aileron rods are supposed to be bent, here's a pic of one of mine, a little hard to see. Can't answer the slop question till I get to the hangar....

Be sure to check the u-joints in the control tubes -- some slop can come from wear there, plus if the tube "guide balls" are worn it can increase "sloppiness" feel. Mac

Thanks everyone for the replies and photos!
I've had my plane for many years and never noticed that those push-pull tubes were bent (or maybe noticed but never thought to ask if it's ok).
The one control shaft has the slop/play just forward of the u-joint boot and the other shaft has the play where it connects to the control T. I probably need to remove the little boot to take a closer look.
I'm a newly rated mechanic and have been trying to get everything 100%.
