FYI I ordered from Yingling and it shipped the next day. Shipping was reasonable at $8. So for $80 for a new bracket I'm pretty happy.

There was a recent Transport Canada AD issued about these as well. There was a nose over on takeoff last year and a person was killed due to the bracket failing.

Just got mine from Yingling a few weeks ago, $70 but a whopping $20 to ship. Took less than a week. Magnetic/ferrous. They also wanted my Serial number or N number for their records.

No, but that's because I never ordered one. My plane already has it! (I think you must be thinking of someone else...)

Wonder if the price of the part will go up or down?

The announcement doesn't appear to mention the time frame, either. Is it "prior to further flight"?

It's proposed, out for comment. I think it mentioned scheduled to go into effect in May. I didn't read far enough to see how long we would be given to comply.
