Looking for recommendations on shop to rebuild a Stromberg NAS3. It doesn't seem that UNIVAIR is still doing this due to Covid.

This is the only guy I know that does it as his business:

He'll do a good job, but, he's not cheap.

If the carb is not exhibiting any real problems, there's really not a lot to it. It takes more art than science to get it so the needle valve doesn't leak, though. There are a lot of A&Ps who could clean it and change the gaskets. Don't give it to anyone who berates it for lack of a mixture control, though.

Not sure if Bob Kachergius is still alive and/or working. I tried unsuccessfully to reach him within the last year. Let us know.

Interesting reading material on his web site either way:

Not sure if Bob is doing this or not. His website does have a lot of info, but a notice that "we are not accepting carbs due to covid". I sent an inquiry thru the online form and haven't gotten a response, and when I called his voicemail box is full.

Columbia was referenced on another forum for cubs, but they arent doing them anymore. Mikes Fuel in Tulsa does them but with 4.5 week lead.

I think what I really need is an IRAN and reseal.

Central Cylinder in Omaha overhauled mine this summer after I got stranded in Iowa with a sunk float. They added back in the mixture control.

I opened the carb up yesterday troubleshooting some idling problems I've had and it looks to me like they did a nice job. I'm working on assembling a new carb at home but haven't quite finished it yet.
