Hi gents,
I have a C140A with an O-200. The engine has less than 200 hours since overhaul. I believe my CHTs are on the high side. I have a digital gauge that cycles through the four cylinders. At 1,500' msl, with an OAT of about 23C I had the following readings; (1) 378 (2) 376 (3) 362 (4) 350. I fly out of 42J, in Keystone Heights, FL. I'd been in cruise (2400rpm) for a good 20 minutes before recording these reading. Hope you guys can shed some light on this.

Regards, Ray N9451A

Numbers look pretty decent? You want them under 400. You don't want them too cool, or your combustion (and burning the lead in the fuel) won't be correct.

What is the oil temperature?

Oil temp. Good question, John. My oil temp gauge doesn't read numerically. It was halfway on the green arc, which has been my experience in this plane. Oil pressure usually runs between 40-50psi. I will check it out again next time I'm up. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the reply, Victor. Maybe my expectations are incorrect.
