Hello everyone, my airplane has circular inspection covers on the floorboards just forward of the seats. I took them off and didn't see anything that might require inspection or service. Are these inspection holes common? Or was this a field mod for some reason?

Mine has the same. My plane also had weld repairs done to the gear after a ground loop around 50 years ago. Perhaps put in for access?

Not original...........the only thing those access would be lost hardware when you're working on the rudder bars/brake master cylinders etc and loose hardware and it rolls down into that space where there "was" no access to get it out.........
Or........in John's case.........."Critter removal"
