How long are you comfortable with the age of a Ceconite wing covering?
Even if the fabric still looks good and can pass muster at annual, is there a timeframe in which the wing should be recovered and the structure of the wing thoroughly examined.

If you hangar it, it can last virtually indefinitely.

That's a good question. I don't have a good answer. A lot depends on how the plane was cared for. Also, inspection cameras are cheap and effective these days, so I think you could make an educated decision pretty easily.
Mine were recovered 27 years ago. It's been hangared for the last 20 years and I'm not worried. (Knock on wood...)

Mine was done in 1996 and seems to be in good condition. Poly Fibre. I've heard of a process known as Mullens test? It's basically a punch test. Don't know much more than that.
