Paint Code
Anyone happen to have a modern paint code for the Gull Gray (Gear) and the Silver French Gray (Interior) colors?

Re: Paint Code
Gull Gray should be a standard color. The interiors of our Huey’s were Gulll Gray.

Re: Paint Code
Wouldn't it depend on who makes the paint?
The same color from different manufatures using a different name.
Stewart system has four shades of grey but none that you mention.
For the interior of mine I used their Dawn Grey with good resultes.
I painted the gear legs white.

Re: Paint Code
Beautiful panel. There can only be one color that matches 1949 Factory original regardless of paint manufacturer.

Re: Paint Code
Gull Gray Paint available today for gear legs
PPG 30153 '47 Birch Grey
DuPont Imron Gull Gray (55137U)
Not sure about the costs, but I think the PPG is a lacquer not a urethane as is Imron. Lacquer is going to be lesser expensive.
French Silver Gray available today for interior components
Here's the better priced one, the French Silver Gray is very very close to Krylon Castle Rock Silver Gray aerosol canned paint. Your Lowes or Ace Hardware stores should carry it.
