My 120 project has the old original wheels, my question is; will wheels from a 69 C150 work?

Original old wheels, do you mean you have Goodyear wheels and brakes?

Very common STC to convert the Goodyear wheels and brakes is to install the Cleveland wheel and brake units.

Will the wheels installed on a 69 Cessna 150 work? What type wheels and brakes are installed on that airplane? I've seen Clevelands as well as McCauley units. Clevelands are a good choice.

I think the transition went from Goodyear to McCauley to Cleveland. Somewhere in my files I have a letter from Cessna that permitted the installation of the McCauley wheels and brakes from a 150 onto the 120/140. Mine came that way when I bought it. Later installed the Clevelands.

If you plan to change the wheels and brakes, I'd go straight to Clevelands regardless. Note that their brakes work very well, which is a caution in a nose-biased taildragger.
