Good evening, I am restoring 46 140 getting excited hopefully done by the fall. love the forum and amount of knowledge this group has. Looking for suggestions really to be consistent on Mounting locations of supporting systems of the engine driven vacuum systems. I have the 0-200 and STC has a engine driven pump and needing to mount the regulator and filter assembly and looking for mounting location advice on the 140. Where is it mounted on your plane? I know the right thing to do for weight and up with the times is to remove the pump and install an AV 30 or Garmin but not in the budget right now. The STC does not talk about or mention the vacuum system only the baffles and exhaust. I Could look into the 150 locations but wanted to get the forums advice first. Tell me your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

My regulator/filter is on the interior side of firewall upper pilot's side. Will try to get a pic.

Does your cowling have the 'wart' for the vacuum pump? The lower cowl won't fit over the pump unless you modify it, at least that was what the previous owner did on my bird.

I am waiting for the old Edo-Aire/Sigma Tek pump to die before I remove all that associated weight and probably put in an AV30. I had no idea the Sigma Tek would go over 1900 hours+ without a hitch.

See great idea. Mine has a cutout so the pump protrudes out the front. I like the cover over it. Will modify mine to resemble yours. I will get a pic up tomorrow.

Mine sticks out. Not a fan of the look. If you all have a firewall shot of your vacuum regulator and filter location for a reference would be great.

Here's my system guts in the interior, part on the inside firewall and part on the left fuselage inside.
