Jury Strut Question

Greetings,
I'm assembling a 1947 Cessna 140 and had a question regarding jury struts. The early style jury struts, used up through serial number 12800 or so (1946-early 1947) were of a one-piece welded construction. After that serial number, Cessna transitioned to a jury strut that was made up of three individual elements. The airplane that I'm assembling is a 1947 and, by its serial number uses the three-piece, later style jury strut. I was wondering if one style was better than the other or preferred over the other? On observation, it seems the early style, one piece design with the thin upper tab fits the two attachment tabs on the wing better as its designed to slide between the two tabs, while the later style, three-piece jury strut appears to be attached with each individual leg of the two uprights going on either side of the two tabs...

Just looking at the two designs, it appears to me that the early single piece jury strut design would be "better" than the later three-piece design.

Thoughts?

I hope this question makes sense. Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated.
