Can someone tell me if the c85 Continental cylinders have a CHT temperature well or must one use spark plug gasket type CHT sensors?
I’m out of town otherwise I’d just look at the airplane.
Thanks,
Ron

Mine requires the gasket senders. Original cylinders.

Thanks Dave. I was hoping it had temperature wells but given the age I thought it likely that it did not. I’m ooking to buy a used engine monitor and some come with probes but all I’ve found are the “well” or bayonet type. New probes are a bit pricey and add considerably to the cost.

Thanks, most newer cylinders have the temperature wells. My 140 has the very old original type Continental cylinders which I’ve now verified do not and I’ll have to buy the gasket type.
