Tailwheel Rivets

Hello everyone,
I found these rivets on the tailwheel coming apart. They rivet from the bottom up through the tail, a bracket, and into the top stiffener. Do you happen to know what rivets are used/supposed to be used here? I couldn't find that in the IPC or anywhere else.
I appreciate the help, as always!
Cheers,
Pablo C. Branco

Let me see if I can get you an answer. I know someone that is very familiar with that tail wheel bracket.

Still working on this. My source must be traveling. No reponse yet. If I don't get anything in the next day or two, I'll see him in person sometime next week. Maybe consider a -5 countersunk rivet. Just a regular AD rivet, I don't know as they have to be anything special. I'll get you an answer.......it may take a bit.......

Are there any markings on the factory head?
With all that ferrous metal in there a monel rivet might be the right answer.

It looks like some kind of pop rivet was installed.
Maybe it is the camera angle?
I am sure they are not supposed to be pop rivets.

Pablo,
Ok, I spoke with David, he rebuilds these units regularly. Just install a regular countersunk rivet. size as required, Nothing special.

I would put a generous coat of chromate primer on the rivet and install it wet to help prevent dissimilar metal corrosion between the steel parts and the aluminum rivet. I try to prime anything where there is ferrous metal in contact with aluminum.
