Tailwheel

Just got a C-140 and wondering how much tension or slack should there be on the springs and chain going to the tailwheel. Thx.

It depends on the type of tailwheel. You should be able to find the installation instructions for the one you have.

Yeah, that.

If it's a Scott 3200 then you want no slack and minimal tension. If it's a Scott 2000 or the 3-24B then tension is required. I think the number is 20 lbs, but that's from memory, so don't quote me.

My tailwheel is 2.80 x 2.50 ( specialty tire of America). Would this be the same as a Scott 3200?

That tire is used on several tailwheels, the Scott being one of them. Post a picture of the whole assembly.
