Position and Landing Light LED replacements
The subject pertains to Whelen lighting. Those of you who have made the complete position/strobe wingtip replacement for the wing what is the part number or model number that has a STC for the 120/140? I currently have the old A650 PG/PR lights with the extended strobe and would like to maybe get rid of the condenser box and go modern with lesser amperage draw. When I wired up these lights decades ago, I ran 16-gauge wire. Is that still the requirement with the new LED light/strobe combination? Also, what is the Whelen replacement lamps for the GE 4509 landing light? Same question with these lights. When installed decades ago I ran 12-gauge wire for the pair. Would that still be the required wire size?

Re: Position and Landing Light LED replacements
I carefully researched the forum for discussions about replacements before I posted here and I did see this; however, I do not think this will mate with a Whelen wingtip strobe assembly. These strobes are a separate glass "entity" on the wingtip light assembly aft of the position light lens. I guess I could buy a standard position light set and replace the "innards' with this mechanism. It might be cheaper based on what I saw for strobe sets. Is there something I am missing here? If so, I do not see it.
