What adhesives do you recommend for replacing rubber U-channel on aluminum trim pieces and panels?

3m 847 works best, but in certain places to have instant bond 3M scotch weld PR40 is the only solution . PREPARATION and take your time is the best work procedure. PS for what its worth Ive been adhering door seals and other seals on automotive and marine products for 45 plus years .
