Thanks to all for accepting me in the association.
I'm an a & p i/a.
Question to all
Can you put 140a wings on a late model 140? Is there any paperwork available or information on this topic.
I am looking to buy a cessna 140 but like the metal wings instead of fabric. Don't want to put metal on fabric wing.
Thanks for all info.

Legally, I would say no. Cessna 140’s have a different type certificate than a 140A, and the data plate would indicate that. Wings are not the only change, the trim tab is also larger on the 140A model.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at a project that could be setup that way. Was just wondering if you could do this legally. Looking for a cessna 140 project to rebuild / restore.
