120 Gear Repair

Thanks to all of you who responded to my earlier post regarding the sag in my landing gear. I've decided to go ahead with removing the gear legs and sending them in for repair. My question to those who might have done this, is what is your suggestion for supporting the plane with the gear off? Also, there is a company in Seattle, North Sound Aviation whose specialty is spring steel gear legs. I understand that this is all they do... Anybody have any experience with them?
Thanks a bunch,
Ken Hamilton

I used the ol' Redneck way. Some sandbags under the main gear box on a roll around table so I could move it around.

I had my gear straightened and worked on by JH of North Sound Aviation. Did awesome work and provided all the nessesary documents for the repair. Just don’t be in any hurry, sometimes takes months. Just do a search on the Cessna 170 site and the results will say the same.

Thanks for the information..Jim at North Sound was recommended to us as well. I hear it's all he does. Not too excited about waiting months though....
