need replacement oil temp gauge

I am trying to find a replacement oil temperature gauge for my 1948 Cessna 140. The problem I am having is with the temp probe not sealing properly when installed. There is a lip around the prob, which seals on the brass nut. After 76 years of on and off during oil changes, that lip is pretty much warn off. Because the gauge and probe are one unit, I need to find a replacement for the whole assembly.

Read this article. It won't fix your leak, but it will help keep you from repeating others' mistakes. There is a replacement Rochester gauge available, but I'm not sure you can still get the Scott part. I recall the part number was RN2100 or something similar.

This one worked fine for me, I hand painted new range markings.

Thanks for the information. I am going to buy the one Spruce sells.
