Engine Baffle Piece

Hey all, I’ve got a cracked engine baffle piece on the pilot side. I love the look of the Airforms engine baffle set, but don’t think I’m ready to drop $2,100+ on replacing all of it. And it wouldn’t look right with a brand new powder coated piece mixed in with the old stuff.

Anyway, thoughts on repairing this piece or does anyone have an old one lying around for a 1946 120 with a C-85?

Thx,
Justin

Just make an appropriate doubler repair.

I wonder if the part was weakened there by a rivet hole for the seal material.

Thanks, John. I’ll see if I can find a local mechanic to help me with that. I wouldn’t know the first thing about how to properly do that.

Interesting thought! I’ll check next time I’m at the hangar to see if there’s a rivet there.
