Sooooo, does anyone know where I can find this hardware or have tips on cross referencing the cessna parts numbers from the parts catalog?
I did read on a previous post that the stop bolts are special in that they will not have raised markings. That makes sense.
Thank You!!

The NAS428 bolts have recessed markings and slightly domed heads. They are intended to be stop bolts. I don't think they were available in 1946. The flap stop bolts on my plane were AN3 bolts that had been (re)threaded up to the heads and the markings were ground off. I can't say for sure if they were original, but I'd take a reasonable bet on it. (That's why they have Cessna part numbers.) I'd use the NAS428 bolts without any concerns.
As far as the shims go, AN960 washers would be fine, except the thinnest ones you can get are AN960-10L and they're .032. If you need thinner than that I don't know what to suggest other than punching them out of brass shim stock.

John - thank you for making my first post/question a success.
I really appreciate your help.
I can only find one other 140 owner near me and he's 100 miles away. Gosh I'm excited to find more.
Thanks again!

Edidin - sorry I didn't see your question there. I'm located in Western Colorado. The airplane is at Blake Field KAJZ in Delta Colorado.
David thanks for the part numbers on the shim washers and the link to washers on McMaster Carr as well.
I have most of the hardware rounded up to put the tailfeathers on but, unfortunately, I'm setback due to a minor crushed rib and corrosion in the HStab!
